NEET and JEE Main Photo and Signature Upload Guide

By ExamPhotoTool.app · Updated · 7 min read

Quick answer

Our NEET landing data lists a passport photo of 132 x 170 px (10-200 KB), a 4x6 postcard photo of 400 x 600 px, a signature of 150 x 113 px (4-30 KB) and thumb impressions of 240 x 240 px. JEE Main lists the same photo and signature. Confirm against the official notification.

NEET UG and JEE Main are both handled through online forms with generous KB limits but specific pixel sizes. NEET adds a postcard photo and thumb impressions. Two sets of numbers appear in our data, so both are listed below.

Use the NEET resizer for the preset sizes, or set custom dimensions in the Photo Resizer if your notification gives the landing values.

How do I prepare the NEET postcard photo?

The postcard photo is a larger 4x6 inch image, 400 x 600 px in our data. Use a plain white background, with the face clear and centred. Keep it inside 10-200 KB. Because of its larger size, quality is usually easy to keep.

How do I prepare the thumb impressions?

Our data lists thumb impressions for the left and right hand at 240 x 240 px, in blue or black ink. Ink the thumb, press it in a box on white paper, photograph it straight-on and crop square. Repeat for the other hand on a separate sheet so each file is a single clean print.

  • One print per image, cropped square.
  • Blue or black ink only.
  • Label the files left-thumb and right-thumb to avoid swapping them.

How do I resize step by step?

  1. Photograph your photo, signature and thumb prints in daylight.
  2. Open the tool and choose the NEET preset (or custom sizes).
  3. Crop each image and download.
  4. Check dimensions and KB against the portal's stated range.
  5. Upload each file to the matching field.
