File Size Too Large Error in Exam Form: How to Fix It

The message file size too large means what it says: your file has more kilobytes than the field allows. The fix is to reduce pixels and then quality. This guide shows how to do it while keeping the file readable.

Why does the portal say the file is too large?

• Phone and camera photos are usually several megabytes.
• Scanners often produce large PDFs at high resolution.
• PNG files can be much larger than JPG for the same image.
• Some portals count size in KB while your device shows MB.

How do I check my file size?

Open the folder, switch to Details view and read the Size column, or right-click the file and choose Properties. Remember 1 MB is about 1024 KB, so a 2 MB photo is over 2000 KB, far above a 50 KB limit.
